Message from the Academic Director

Our academic plan is built backwards from the board examination and forwards from the child. Backwards, because Class X and Class XII are non-negotiable and the syllabus has to be finished with time left for revision. Forwards, because a child who has only been drilled for a paper has not been educated.

In practice that means the syllabus is tracked chapter by chapter through the year, the half-yearly is written under real examination conditions, and the gap between what a child scores and what they are capable of is a conversation between the subject teacher and the parent, not a line on a report card.

We also want students using modern tools properly — computers, laboratory equipment, the library — rather than being told about them.
